Radio’s Unique Ties with Multicultural Audiences

Arbitron supports numerous programs that make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. We do this by building relationships with community leaders, encouraging philanthropy within our organization and promoting goodwill, both inside and outside the company. Giving back to the community has always been one of our top priorities and we are proud of our employees' many contributions.

We participate annually in a variety of national and local activities, such as building partnerships with universities through our program with National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation. For example, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, Arbitron partnered with the Center for Spanish Language Media at the University of North Texas. The Center, run by Dr. Alan Alabarran, PhD., is housed within UNT's Department of Radio, Television and Film, recognized as one of the nation's top eight programs for broadcasting and film. We financially support the Center's mission of providing education and conducting research on Spanish Language Media.

The Center has completed the valuable "History of Spanish-Language Radio" research report that chronicles Spanish-Language radio's rise in the US. It is our honor to have helped make this research possible.
